The Division of History of Chemistry organises various events to promote exchange on developments in the chemical sciences and historical perspectives. The lecture conferences offer experts and interested parties the opportunity to present and discuss current research findings and historical analyses. These are complemented by regional and national symposia focussing on specific topics in the history of chemistry and enabling a more in-depth examination of the subject area. In addition, the Division organises conferences for the industrial community, which promote dialogue between academic and industrial chemistry and provide insights into their development and history. All events contribute and have contributed to deepening the understanding of the chemical discipline and its historical dimensions.
