Board election for the 2024-2027 term of office

In our letter dated 27 June 2023, we informed you of the candidates proposed by the current Board of the GDCh Working Group on Phosphorus Chemistry for the upcoming Board election. No further nominations were submitted by the members. Accordingly, the election of the Board of Directors will be carried out with the following persons, all of whom have agreed to stand for election:

In accordance with the rules of procedure of the working group, the board consists of a maximum of six members (1x chair, 1x deputy chair, max. 4x co-chair), who are each elected for a period of four years. Re-election is possible once. This means that there are six new Board positions to be filled by six people, whose short CVs are enclosed with this letter for your information. The positions of Chair and Deputy Chair will be appointed from within the elected Board following the election.

All specialist group members who have provided an email address will receive a link to the online ballot on Wednesday, 10 August 2023. All other members will receive the voting documents by post.

The election results will be announced in the chemistry news and on the working group's website.

Board election for the 2024-2027 term of office

On 31 December 2023, the term of office of the Executive Committee of the GDCh Working Group on Phosphorus Chemistry ends and you, dear members, are invited by this letter to nominate candidates for the election of the Executive Committee who

  • have declared their willingness to stand for election,
  • are members of the working group and
  • have the support of six members of the working group (the incumbent board members are happy to support your candidate proposals after consultation).

In accordance with the rules of procedure of the working group, the board consists of a maximum of six members (1x chair, 1x deputy chair, max. 4x co-chair), each of whom is elected for a term of four years. Re-election is possible once.

Prof. Dr Evamarie Hey-Hawkins (Chair), Prof. Dr Manfred Scheer (Deputy Chair), Prof. Dr Christian Hackenberger and Prof. Dr Robert Wolf are no longer available for a further term. Prof. Dr Christian Müller and Prof. Dr Jan J. Weigand have signalled their willingness to stand for re-election. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them all for their successful commitment to the working group and the GDCh as a whole.

If no written proposals for the nomination of further candidates are received by the GDCh office (for the attention of Maike Fries; m.fries@gdch.de) up to and including 17 July 2023, the election will be held as an online election from
7 August 2023 with the persons specified above.
