In August 2009, the Federal Employment Agency restructured its online job market. Since then, searching for and finding jobs is no longer quite as complicated as before. So it's worth taking a look.

bund.de, published by the Federal Office of Administration, contains a comprehensive and informative compilation of authorities and other public service organisations. Under the heading "Job vacancies" you will find a collection of links to job exchanges operated by various public service organisations

SCIENCE-JOBS-DE

SCIENCE-JOBS-DE provides information about open research-oriented positions in the academic field. The service is provided by Heidelberg University. You can have the job offers sent to you via mailing list or view them directly.

Telejob

Telejob, the electronic job portal of the assistant and doctoral student associations of ETH Zurich (AVETH) and Lausanne (ACIDE), offers academic positions mainly from universities and research institutes. Job applications can also be submitted.

Cadres Online

A wide range of jobs from France can be found at this address. In addition to job adverts that are published in well-known French newspapers, there is also a lot of information on applications, writing CVs, etc. While some of the job adverts can be accessed in English, you will need a knowledge of French for the other information.

University Gazette

Originating from the Saturday page "Beruf und Chance" of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, it contains articles for specialists and managers in a wide range of academic professions.

Otto Benecke Foundation

The non-profit Otto Benecke Foundation offers the AQUA project ("Academics qualify for the labour market") for unemployed university graduates. AQUA offers opportunities for targeted qualification for different occupational groups in job-specific study supplements that are organised nationwide. The training programme is aimed at university graduates who receive unemployment benefit I and unemployment benefit II. Regardless of age, university degree, nationality and duration of unemployment, interested parties can apply for the 13-month programmes, e.g. renewable energies or optical technologies.
