What information is actually available from the GDCh and in its journal *Nachrichten aus der Chemie* on important topics such as sustainable chemistry, PFAS, AI/digital chemistry, equal opportunities, studying chemistry and publishing, as well as on ethical and social issues?

‘Nachrichten aus der Chemie’ is the GDCh’s members’ publication and the most important source of information for chemists across all disciplines.

*Angewandte Chemie* is the flagship publication of the GDCh. This weekly journal is listed in the Citation Index – a measure of the frequency with which articles are cited and their quality – and ranks amongst the world’s leading chemistry journals.

The GDCh is the owner or co-owner of numerous renowned scientific journals, most of which form part of the “ChemistryEurope” network

ChemRxiv, the open-access preprint archive for chemistry, is run by the GDCh in collaboration with four other chemical societies from the UK, the USA, Japan and China.

The GDCh takes a stance on many chemistry-related issues in the fields of education, research and science policy. Here you will find a compilation of the relevant statements and position papers.

We present current topics in chemistry in easy-to-understand brochures. You will also find our scientific publications here, such as white papers on various topics.

The GDCh publishes numerous books aimed at various target audiences. You can also find our videos and the JCF podcast here.

Through this DGCh portal, we aim to introduce everyone with an interest to the diversity – and the fascination – of chemistry. Whether you’re an expert or simply someone with an interest in the subject, there’s something here for everyone

Here you will find brief profiles of pioneering women in chemistry. To ensure that these trailblazers in chemistry are not forgotten, we are showcasing their fascinating and varied career paths.

Have you met our little Erlenmeyer yet? This cartoon character explains chemical phenomena even to those who dropped chemistry straight away at school.
In addition to the *Angewandte* and the ChemistryEurope journals, the GDCh is involved in other specialist journals. You can find an overview here.
